About the course:
50 Mile (new for 2026)
-
The 50 mile is not for the faint of heart. With extended climbing, higher mileage, and more time on your feet, this course takes everything the 50K offers and pushes it even further.
Starting at Tibble Fork Reservoir, runners will spread out on a short dirt road before beginning the first major climb into American Fork Canyon. The 50 mile follows the same first 31 miles as the 50K, giving you a strong taste of the course early on.
After that, the course branches off and heads back up the mountain, taking you onto more remote and scenic terrain. You’ll find yourself on beautiful trails, including a pass by a stunning high alpine lake, before continuing through rugged mountain terrain that will test both your legs and your mindset.
This is a true mountain 50 miler—where pacing, nutrition, and staying steady matter just as much as fitness.
The course ultimately brings you back down to Tibble Fork Reservoir, where you’ll cross the same finish line—only this time with 50 miles in your legs and a finish line party waiting.
-
The 50 mile course features 12,300 feet of elevation gain and is 95% single-track, offering a challenging yet exhilarating experience through stunning terrain.
